Since our founding in 1963, our group has pioneered new markets in the construction machinery industry through the development of the world’s first mini excavator and the world’s first crawler loader. By continually addressing and responding to global needs, we have steadily achieved growth.

Our compact construction machines play an essential role in building homes where people can find comfort, laying water pipes to provide clean water, and supporting the “housing” aspect of daily life. In doing so, we help sustain people’s happy and prosperous lives. Over 95% of our consolidated sales come from overseas, with North America and Europe being our core markets. Compared to Japan, construction machinery in these regions operates for significantly longer hours. One of our greatest strengths lies in the strong market reputation of our products—recognized for their power, durability, operability, comfort, and ease of maintenance. Thanks to these qualities and the unique added value we deliver, our machines are highly rated in both markets.

Our founder’s vision was to “create what the world doesn’t yet have” and “deliver what is truly useful to people.” This spirit continues to guide us today and is embodied in our corporate philosophy: “From the world’s first to the world’s TAKEUCHI.” To help build a sustainable society, we are advancing the development of new battery-powered mini excavators to expand our electric product lineup. Although the shift to electrification in the construction machinery market is progressing more slowly than anticipated due to economic and efficiency challenges, decarbonization is a global commitment. Through the development, production, sales, and after-sales support of environmentally friendly, safer, and more efficient machines for urban development, we will continue to make broad contributions to society.
