Communication with Local Communities
Takeuchi Japan
We believe that contributing to local communities is an important role that companies should play. We are active in a range of activities that help develop the next generation in our local communities.
Takeuchi has been actively accepting factory tours for many years in response to requests from elementary, junior high, and high schools in Nagano Prefecture, as well as from various universities. In 2024, we held a total of 17 tours, with 518 participants. Since 2017, we have been sending staff to deliver lessons to after-school programs in junior high schools and providing educational materials to special needs schools for free every year since 2015.

Impacting US Communities
Takeuchi US
At Takeuchi US, our corporate culture is built upon a foundation of helping and supporting others, and we prioritize contributing to our local communities. Under this philosophy, through the “Takeuchi Gives” program, we primarily engaged in the following activities in 2024: we provided students with technical training experience and supplied Thanksgiving meals to neighbors in need."
1. Support for Education and Technical Training
Over the past few years, we’ve donated several diesel engines to various technical schools to foster the next generation of technicians.
- In 2024, we provided the Spartanburg Community College’s Diesel Engine Training Program with a TL12 engine. It’s truly gratifying to know that these students will gain hands-on experience with a real-life engine, helping further their careers in the years to come. Providing this kind of educational advantage also helps our local communities by increasing the amount of skilled labor available in the future.
2. Addressing Food Insecurity
We conducted activities to support individuals and families facing food insecurity. In response to these efforts, a message was received via the Takeuchi US website stating: “I was a recipient of a holiday food box from your company in Pendergrass, Georgia. I wanted to reach out and personally thank you for helping make this Thanksgiving less of a burden for our family after a very trying year. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.”
- Support for Banks-Jackson Food Bank: The food bank has been serving Banks and Jackson Counties since 1982, supporting an average of 772 less-fortunate individuals and families each month. Takeuchi US has donated food to this organization for the fourth consecutive year, and in 2024, employees donated enough food for 147 Thanksgiving meals.
- Support for The Carpenter’s Table: For the second consecutive year in South Carolina, we provided 63 meals to help families in need celebrate a brighter Thanksgiving.
3. Future Outlook
We will continue to uphold our stance of "stepping up in times of need" and will actively promote our social contribution activities as "positive, uplifting, and generous corporate citizens" in the future.
