CEO Commitment to Sustainability

Through our business, we contribute to people's happy and prosperous lives around the world. Toshiya Takeuchi, President and Representative Director

Takeuchi Group's sustainability management is about putting our corporate philosophy—Creation, Challenge, and Cooperation—into action. Our excavators and track loaders are used in housing construction, roadwork, infrastructure projects like water and gas pipelines, and recovery efforts after natural disasters. Living in a comfortable home, turning on the faucet for clean water, flipping a switch for light.

Our products support the “daily life” that unfolds as a matter of course, deeply involved in the “housing” aspect of the basic necessities of life. Through the development, manufacturing, and sales of the world's highest quality compact construction machinery, our very reason for being is to continue contributing to happiness and prosperous lives of people worldwide—both now and forever.

Governance

Among the three pillars of ESG in sustainability management, we consider governance to be the most crucial. Without effective governance, efforts in the other ESG areas (Environment and Society) cannot function properly, and the very reliability and soundness of management itself becomes undermined.

We believe governance serves as the foundation for enhancing corporate value and supporting sustainable growth, enabling to enhance the transparency and effectiveness of corporate management, to prevent misconduct, and to encourage consideration for all stakeholders (not only shareholders, but also employees, customers, suppliers, local communities, and others).

Environment

Globally, societies are transitioning from fossil fuel dependence toward renewable energy sources like solar and hydrogen. As energy infrastructure undergoes this transition, demand for construction machinery will grow, while our products themselves will require changes. We will tackle this transformation with a spirit of “Creation, Challenge, and Cooperation.”

So far, in addition to durability, we have developed products focused on user-friendliness, comfort, and performance. Going forward, while continuing to develop these strengths, I believe we must refine the performance and environmental aspects in the future with added features, such as automation and electrification.

Social

Addressing social challenges means strengthening trust with our stakeholders and sharing happiness alongside our Group's growth. Above all, my foremost purpose is ensuring our employees—who share both joys and hardships—find fulfillment and happiness every day, both professionally and personally. Only when our employees are happy can we create excellent products and drive innovation.

Furthermore, we aim to meet the expectations of our customers, suppliers, and shareholders, and ultimately enrich the lives and societies of people around the world. We believe that walking alongside our stakeholders, growing together, and sharing happiness will lead to the sustainable development of both our company and society.
